ELSI Symposium

We visited the Earth-Life Science Institute of Tokyo Tech University to hear a series of talks from research scientists.

ispace Inc.

We visited the space company's Japan headquarters, where we learned its history and current projects.

JAXA Tsukuba Space Center

In addition to touring the exhibits, we met JAXA astronaut Dr. Wakata.

Miraikan

In addition to touring the exhibits, we met former JAXA astronaut Dr. Mohri, now Exec Director of Miraikan.

NAOJ

We visited and toured the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan's numerous facilities.

Dr. Michael Famiano

Dr. Mike Famiano is an associate professor of nuclear astrophysics at the Department of Physics at Western Michigan University.

His primary research interest is in stellar nucleosynthesis, and has worked as a visiting scientist at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
